Alas! The music video for “The Ballad of Joel” by The Runns!

This short film is called “Restroom Woes: The Legend of the Drippy Cheesy Burrito”

This was so much fun to film. It started from a dialogue the director, Stephanie Soto, had to produce for a video class and grew into this epic journey of a man in desperate search for a little private time on the throne. 

The credits feature an original song, by Jesus Olivas, simply titled “The Ballad of Joel”

The song itself has a music video in production. I saw the almost-final product today, and it is HILARIOUS!

This film will also be showcased at the Univesity of Texas at El Paso Sun City Film Festival this Saturday, May 1st, so any El Pasoans feel free to come out and watch it among other films from our peers. The program begins at 5pm in the Union Cinema at UTEP; Admission is free!

This was our first project as a club. It is a Coca-Cola commercial that we entered into a contest. The review dates were extended so there is still no word on whether we made it or not.

We filmed this over one night at a local movie theatre.
